Owen Hart was a Canadian professional wrestler known for his incredible athleticism, technical skill, and charisma. Born on May 7, 1965, in Calgary, Alberta, Owen was a member of the famous Hart wrestling family, with his brother Bret “The Hitman” Hart and his father Stu Hart also being highly respected figures in the wrestling world.

Owen wrestled for several promotions, including New Japan Pro-Wrestling, but was best known for his work in WWE (then WWF) throughout the 1990s. He held numerous titles, including the Intercontinental Championship and Tag Team Championships, and he won the prestigious King of the Ring tournament in 1994. Known for his matches with Bret, Owen was a versatile performer who could play both a beloved face and a hated heel with equal skill.

Tragically, Owen Hart passed away on May 23, 1999, during the WWE Over the Edge pay-per-view event due to a stunt accident. He was set to make a dramatic entrance from the rafters, but the harness he was attached to malfunctioned, causing him to fall to the ring. His untimely death shook the wrestling world and led to discussions about safety measures for performers. Owen is remembered as one of the most talented wrestlers of his generation and a beloved figure in the wrestling community, with fans and colleagues celebrating his memory and advocating for his legacy to be recognized in various ways.
